i don’t understand the recent negative reviews because i thought their customer service and food was great. it’s a fast casual type of dining but the food is beyond exceptional. tbh, i came when they first opened and it wasn’t my favorite but still decent. i think they revamped their food and it’s become one of my favorite pho restaurants to eat at! also, i think the managers name is Lisa? she was super helpful and kind. overall, the customer service is great, especially when comparing to the other vietnamese pho restaurants i’ve been to... anyway, if you’re in DT SLC, give it a try! also, their spring rolls/egg rolls are
We ordered through DoorDash. Everything in the order was correct and more importantly delicious! Curry chicken tamarind bowl with lots of fresh veggies and delicious sauces, shrimp spring rolls and beef pho were all great. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in SLC

Great local Vietnamese place for quick bite. First of all, I really love the decor and the layout of the restaurant. It’s relaxing and with super high ceiling, it’s very comfortable. Ordering system was very easy and friendly to use. Watch the videos on TV while we waited. Food was excellent. Banh Mi with curry Chicken was exceptional and it came with beef stock broth which really complemented nicely.
Fantastic pho loved my spring rolls as well. Quick service good night, clean restaurant and wonderful location across from the Eccles.

Tamarind SLC is an absolute culinary treasure. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and inviting staff set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The menu is a vibrant blend of Southeast Asian flavors with a modern twist — every dish is clearly crafted with care and authenticity. My favorite dish so far from this place is the tamarind bowl with char siu pork and loaded tater tots are a must try! Still discovering other great food options here as well. What stood out most was the friendly service. Everyone was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and the experience they provide. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be back!
The Pho was stunning. It was a warm welcome to Vietnamese cuisine. The service was quick, which was suprising considering the quality of meat and broth. I came in around 6:30 on a friday and finished at almost 7:30. It was clean and the atmosphere was nice and cosy considering the industrial furniture. It was anywhere between half capacity (for the tables, not the singel bar stools) and three quarters at any given time. All in all, a fantastic experience.
